About

My husband, Bruce, and I moved our family to Agoura Hills in 1996 so that our children, Zach and Allison, could attend the highly respected local schools. LVUSD was both a community and a district that shared our values for a rigorous and well-rounded education. We chose to plant roots here so that our children could grow and prosper as students and as individuals.

Immediately upon settling in to our new neighborhood, I became actively involved in the community. I supported my children’s participation in local sports teams, and both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Through the years, I expanded my community involvement and leadership roles at the Elementary, Middle, High School and District levels. I served as President of the PFA at Willow Elementary as well as, PFC President at both Lindero Canyon Middle and Agoura High Schools. I also served on the LCMS Site Council Commitee where we prioritized the school budget. Prior to being elected to the School Board I served as a member of the district level Student Achievement Task Force where we examined gaps in learning and provided recommendations to the School Board.

My extensive LVUSD experience, as well as my professional entertainment business management background, have helped me serve as a highly effective member of the School Board. My breadth of experiences, and depth of knowledge of educational issues, have provided me with the skills necessary to navigate a complex system. I understand the culture and values of our schools and communities, so I can ask fundamental and strategic questions, as well as make thoughtful, informed policy decisions to help promote and support our district.

Practical knowledge and continuity of leadership are vital in maintaining the high standards we expect in LVUSD. Our superior reputation will continue to draw young families to our communities and enhance home values.

With your vote and support, I will continue to ensure that the Las Virgenes Unified School District offers outstanding, innovative public education.
